In psychiatry, the biopsychosocial model is how professionals organize the causes of all human problems. All this means is that the sources of all psychiatric problems, including anxiety, come from either/and (1) our brain’s biology, (2) a negative style of psychology, and/or (3) from social reasons like divorce, bankruptcy and the like. I take that third category and simply call it “stress” in my original model.
“Stress” represents any outside threat coming from the environment. In fact, in the system you are about to learn, I use the word “stress” to strictly mean “a negative emotional energy coming at you from outside of your personal boundary”.
This diagram explains the intimate connection between biology (brain chemistry), psychology (one’s style of using emotions such as anxiety), and stress (which comes from the outside world). Your biology and psychology are inside you, and stress, by definition, is outside you until you let it in. This model also explains the triple role of medicines, psychotherapy, and one’s personal decisionmaking in total healing of psychological problems such as anxiety and panic attacks.
The system I developed for you, Mind OS, is an “operating system for your mind,” just like what computers have running on them. You can’t run a computer without an operating system, and you will be at a loss for what to do with your mind if you don’t know exactly how it can help you beat anxiety. So consider the
biology of your actual brain anatomy to be just like your brain’s “hardware”, your psychology just like your brain’s many “software programs” you have installed over the years, and stress just like the daily problems or data that get plugged into the computer that is your mind.
Only the “user” of a computer can decide what data to put into a computer in the first place, and that is totally in your control. It is perhaps where the Law of Attraction becomes really valuable. If you are plugging away at life and feed the computer of your mind only negativity, then you are going to get it all gunked up, and bogged down by worries, concerns and problems that would have otherwise just faded into the background if you had just focused on what you desire for the future instead.
